"Looking for a clean, respectful roommate. Budget: $1000/mo"
Built first for renters trying to find the right place in the GTA without wasting time on sketchy listings, scattered conversations, or unclear next steps.
The swipe flow stays central, but the product is renter-first housing discovery. Roommate matching is secondary, and landlord onboarding is focused on qualified leads.
If you own or manage GTA rental inventory, we’re also opening early partner conversations.

From discovery to move-in, we've simplified the entire rental process
Swipe properties & roommates
Browse curated listing previews and compatible roommate profiles. Swipe right on what you love, left on what you don't.
Chat, voice notes, schedule viewings
Message landlords and potential roommates directly. Schedule viewings and get to know your future home.
Review terms and next steps
We're designing digital workflows, documentation, and payment-protection options for launch. Final policies are still under review.
Planning your move from India 🇮🇳? Start narrowing GTA options early so your first shortlist feels more informed before you land.
What We’re Optimizing For
A smoother way to shortlist places and people before arriving in a new city.
Content, messaging, and context that help renters compare options remotely.
Policies, onboarding, and renter guidance that will be finalized before public launch.
Roommate matching supports the renter journey, but it is not the whole product. The core job is still helping GTA renters find a place with more trust and less friction.

Commodate is renter-first: helping students and early-career renters compare GTA options with less noise and more context.
We are designing renter protections, payment workflows, and launch policies carefully. This section describes our direction, not live guarantees.
We want renters to understand how payments, refunds, and disputes work before sending money anywhere. Those details are still being reviewed and are not yet live product commitments.
Legal review, partner setup, support workflows, and clear renter-facing disclosures.
Live escrow, formal compliance certifications, or guaranteed dispute outcomes before those systems are ready.
We are designing verification steps for listings and profiles, but they are not finalized yet.
Payment handling and release flows are under legal and operational review.
We want better signals for suspicious behavior and clearer renter guidance.
Privacy, payment, and dispute policies are being written before launch.
Privacy language, payments language, and launch disclosures are being tightened now so the public site reflects the real state of the business.
Commodate is renter-first, but we’re also speaking with a small number of GTA landlords and operators who want more qualified renter demand.
